The Acceptable Use Policy is a document explaining appropriate use of district owned computers to access the internet and other resources.
Internet access has traditionally been provided to all students in grades 3 and up, once a permission slip form is signed and returned.
Students must have an AUP on file to use the internet at school.

Since South Mountain no longer has a computer lab, wireless laptops are available for K-5 students to use. Since teachers may want to have their K-2 students work on an internet-based program or activity in the classroom, ALL students will need AUPs beginning in September 2010. Students in grades 4-5 already have the form on file from 3rd grade. The signed permission slip will follow the students until they graduate CHS, so there is no need to sign another form, unless you are changing your child's permission.

The entire policy packet is found linked below. It is 9-10 pages, so please peruse it at your convenience. Only the two pages with signature lines need to be printed and returned. However, to make record-keeping easier, a single-sided form has been created. PLEASE USE THE SINGLE PAGE FORM. The form is dated 2009-2010, but will still be used this year.

RETURN THE SIGNED FORM to the SCHOOL LIBRARIAN, as soon as possible. THANK YOU.
