In honor of April being National Poetry Month, we created poems using book spine titles as our lines. (inspired by the gallery at 100 Scope Notes: Children's Literature News and Reviews )
The fifth graders browsed various sections of the library, looking for titles that could be a line in a poem.
The books were shuffled around, then stacked so that the spines, when reading down, would read as poetry. The book stacks were then photographed, and some of the results are posted below.
